Seattle Seahawks utilize iPad Kiosks

Posted on by Harry Raymond Posted in Sports | 2 Comments

This past August, the Seattle Seahawks used iPad kiosks to register fans for open practices at the team’s Renton training camp. The Maryland-based company Beyondkiosks.com supplied the iPad kiosks that were used to register more than 20,000 fans.  A front-facing rim restricted the use of the home button so fans couldn’t exit the sign up application.  The company also adds a heavy-duty plastic body so the iPad can handle heavier use.

I’ve always thought IPads would be an effective (but expensive) way to display interactive information in public places. It seems that Beyondkiosks.com is betting big on IPad signage and kiosks. We’ll see if enough businesses can afford that luxury.

Here is the official press release. We have requested an interview from the people at Beyondkiosks.com. Stay tuned.
